Parent-teacher meet held at Rangajan, Assam

In a bid to parent-teacher understand their ward and vice versa, Don Bosco Tech Society (Rangajan) held a parent-teacher meet at its premises on February 15, 2020. Mr. Amos Ekka (State Coordinator, Dimapur Province) advised the trainees in the presence of their parents about the professional conduct; be it salary negotiation, leave, resignation has to be dealt with the HR of the organization.

The dignitaries present during the meeting were Fr. Albert Tirkey (Center in Charge) and Mr. Ekka. The meeting hall was packed with the trainers, parents, and trainees of Asst. Electrician and 2-3-wheeler auto service technician.

While the meeting kick-started Mr. Ekka gave an orientation on placement related issues and nature of the job. In this regard he advised the trainees to be professional in their conduct even in dealing with the seniors at the workplace. He instructed the trainees to approach their HR/ supervisors if they face any issues pertanining to their personal life, career, and whatever. “You should approach the HR for matters like; salary, leave, and even resignation and not others,” advised Mr. Ekka. He urged the trainees not to run away from companies without prior information to the HR once they are placed. Doing so will result in the rapport built between various organizations and Don Bosco Tech. He urged them to be in constant touch with their trainers solving concerns and discussing further important matters.

Mr. Pankaj Hazarika (Trainer, Asst. Electrician) instructed on do’s and don’ts during the train journey. He advised the trainees to follow safety measures and avoid workplace hazards as taught during class. “Failing to ensure safety measures may result in a fatality,” said Mr. Hazarika.

Fr. Tirkey also encouraged the trainees to work hard and become successful in life.

Mr. Lakshikanta Kalita, father of Nayanjyoti Kalita, automobile trainee expressed his gratitude to Don Bosco Tech for imparting training and helping his son.

The meeting was concluded with a short concluding prayer and refreshment.
