Inaugural function cum Parents Meet

The time has come to invite the trainees to the center to shine their lives by providing the Skill training through Don Bosco Tech Society. The main purpose of conducting the inaugural ceremony for the trainees, as well as Parents cum teachers-meet to enumerate about our skilling mission of Don Bosco Tech and that too free of cost. Another vital motive was to counsel the parents to send their wards for the BASE training regularly to procure get boon their lives soon. 

Don Bosco Tech Society (Karunapuram) conducted a Parent and Teacher meeting on January 7, 2020. It was a very innovative and propitious day for the trainees and parents. Most of the parents came with fervency to listen about the forthcoming days. Some parents have come with mistrust thoughts of skill training. Accepting parents' wishes and desires, the center management addressed the parents in a group and then individually. So, that the parents can freely ask their queries and speak about their wards in private to the trainers and center head.

The inaugural ceremony began with a prayer song. The program continued with a center director’s speech, Sr. Lizamma Alexander. She clearly explained the parents about the free but its quality training, provided by Don Bosco Tech. She shared the underlined purpose to begin the BASE training, especially curved-out for the unemployed youth. She concluded her speech by sharing some of her experiences with the parents and thus gave some practical suggestions to motivate their children to come for the training regularly without taking leaves or bunking classes as it’s only for 90 days’ program. 

As the program ended, the director gave a few minutes to the parents to speak to their wards, face to face, in the counseling room. 

Parents seem to be happy and expressed their gratitude to the entire team, in a way the program was conducted. This process helped removed prejudices some parents had in their minds. Thus, the parents meet saw its closure with collecting their concern letter.
