The youth of today is totally unlike anything we’ve seen before. Not only are they aware of their responsibilities, but they are also extremely gifted and talented. Being talented makes a person-way better at their job and also instills confidence in the person, and that is exactly why the nation believes that with the immense talent, this generation is soon to become a head-turner. With great power to change the destiny of the country, the youth is capable of doing so much that it is sure to bring the country on the path of progress and prosperity. 

To bring out the best in trainees, Don Bosco Tech Society (Karunapuram) organized a cultural program on February 11, 2020. Sr. Lizamma Alexander (Director, Don Bosco Tech, Karunapuram) welcomed the special guests from Spain. The day was filled with joy with their esteemed presence, who are keen about youths’ progress in life. The mega event was first of this nature for which the trainees spent a fruitful time in preparation. 

The grand show was commenced with the arrival guests and trainees of the center. Trainees performed a well synchronized welcome dance to begin the program. The guests who arrived for the program arrived at the venue were Ms. Blanca and Ms. Marian (Benefactors from Spain), Sr. Valsamma Lukose (The provincial, MMSS), and Sr. Mary Kuriakose (Superior, Maria Rani).  

A meaningful welcome address was proposed to the gathering by Ms. Jyothi (Trainer, CE & ITES) once they took their respective places.  

The trainees participated in singing, dancing, poetry recitation, roll play, mimicry, quizzes, hairdressing, and fancy dress competitions energetically. Each participant showed keen interest as was seen adorned themselves with accessories like jewelry, modern and classical dresses.  The guests wondered as to see the young trainees, full of potential. They appreciated the trainees for their great effort put in every activity. 

Ms. Blanca said, "I am inspired to see full of life, packed with talents these youngsters have. Don Bosco Tech is doing a noble task of skilling these youths.” She added, “I want to thank the trainers who are working here for the youth, brightening their future." Trainees were thrilled to listen to the guests speak who inspired them by their compliments. 

The whole event went on well. It was ended with a vote of thanks. The day was concluded with a group photo.
