Alumni Meet 2020

Gone are the days when we used to enjoy the warmth of each other’s company by coming together. It is a one of a kind experience when Don Bosco Tech Society, Sreekandapuram went online, conducting Alumni Meet virtually, the pandemic has given a challenge to the entire humanity. This mega event was held on Dec. 10, 2020, which kick-started at 10:00 and ended by 11:00. Despite the digital divide, 27 alumni from various locations made their presence felt while sharing their memories. Mrs. Aneeta Jolly (Trainer, Communicative English & IT) sphere-headed this event.

As per the plan, the occasion began with a song, dedicated to God, seeking His bountiful blessings. Fr Joison K.J (Director, Kottoor, Pvt. ITI, Kannur, Kerala) gave a message and welcomed the participants warmly. He said that social distancing has become a new norm. Thus it is apt to go online; be it meetings, events, etc. He also said that the pandemic has taught us a lesson, a lesson of discipline and hygiene. Mr. Stanly Jones (Chief Operation Officer) graced the occasion with his valuable presence. Besides him, Ms. Niveditha Antony (Regional Manager), Mr. Juby Thomas (State Coordinator, Kerala), Mr. Digt Jose (State Finance Head, Kerala) also addressed the alumni. The organizers presented a video, comprising of all the registered alumni’s photographs, to rejuvenate.

Mrs. Aneeta, Mr. Shanoj M.J concluded the day with a vote of thanks to the participants for coming together and for sparing their valuable times. The event came to its closure with a Hyman to Don Bosco.
