Guest lecture -1 of Sales Associate Phase -10, B4

To grow and acquire the skills Don Bosco Tech Society (Karunapuram) called for a guest lecturer for the Sales Associate trainees on February 18, 2020. Ms. Jeedi Anusha (Alumni) who is working as a Sales Executive in Heritage Fresh, Hyderabad. She has one year of experience in Retail. 

She started to inspire and motivate the trainees by highlighting some guidelines to secure the job while she insisting on grooming, as all the emplyers watch-out to. It was then when she switched to ‘roles and responsibilities’ of a Customer Service Associate in Retail. Firstly she said,  “The key responsibility of CSA is facing the products to attract the customer every day.” Because, she added, “When a customer enters into the store or mart and if products found to be messy, they may not feel to shop in that particular store or mart.” Secondly, she continued, “The responsibility of Customer Service Associate is stocking the products in the store. It means checking the expiry date of the products at regular intervals.” She suggested that the stocking of frozen items in-store just for a week. Hence, the ‘section in charge person’ means particular section CSA should take care of the stocking process. 

The guest briefly explained the store’s agenda works; as weekly briefing process, monthly briefing classes for employees in the stores or marts. She stressed the ‘behavioral skill’ which helps the trainees to stick on their jobs. 

“Employees do not reveal any official matters to anybody regarding the store or mart outside, and Know how to behave with the higher authorities,” said Anusha. She added, “Customer satisfaction and grooming are the utmost importance to get promotion in the organization.”
As a bid to highlight the ‘Customer Satisfaction’ she said, “Know the customers’ needs and satisfy them.” She then added ‘cultivate the knack to convince them to purchase more products.’ She did explain to the trainees about handling customers at the billing counter and the use of Credit and debit cards at the billing sections.

Finally, she said, “I am very happy to visit my alma mater.” Above all, I am happy because of your trust that I could brief the Retail trainees. The session came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by  Ms. Mamatha (Trainer, Sales Associate).
