Celebration-The birth of Baby Jesus

The pre-Christmas celebration was held at Don Bosco Tech Society, Latabari on December 21, 2019, four days before Christmas. Coming together, sharing the joy was a very special experience.

This time the celebration was together with the entire staff of Latabari institute. Unlike, this was only among the DB Tech staff and students.

A lot of days were taken for the preparation just for a few hours of celebration. The different departments of the institute had some of the other contributions to make. The DB Tech students too added value a lot, especially for the decoration.

There was a long list of programs for the day. These were purely cultural with a splendid blending of several cultural dances; Rava Dance, Adivasi Dance, Santhali Dance, Bengali folk Dance, Bihu Dance, and of course the program ushered the Christmas feelings with the singing of carol songs. Fr. Thomas (Parish Priest) was the chief guest of the day who gave a befitting message. He said, “Every religion shares love. The coming of Jesus Christ to this world is the symbol of love, peace, and joy.”

As per the message of the chief guest, the participants were of different caste, religion, still, they worked, participated, and enjoyed together. All participated actively in all the activities, bring the feeling of togetherness. The combined celebration doubled happiness in all. After the program was over, all had fellowship meals together which was followed by an open to all free-style Adivasi dance.
