Guest Lecture on ‘Safety at Workplace’

Safety Measures as the topmost priority when it comes to the technical field. More so in the case of electrical and electronics. Don Bosco Tech Society (Asha Deep, Muzaffarpur, Bihar) called for a day of an interactive session of Asst. Electrician trainee with Mr. Sanjay Kumar (Self Employed) on February 15, 2020. Besides Safety Measures topics he touched upon were Transformer, Cables, Color Coding of Wire, Study of Changer, Connection of Energy meter as he felt it must mention.

As the session began he introduced himself to the students and asked for their introduction one by one.

Without taking much time in the introduction the session progressed with ‘basics of electrical’. Having briefed on the basics of electrical he strongly urged the trainees about the precaution they need to ensure at the workplace always. He warned the trainees on the high rate of fatality in the electrical field just because of silly mistakes.

While the session was on he explained more about safety and the major types of equipment as listed below.

Safety Methods:

• Fire of Safety.

• Causes & prevention of shock.

• No loose Connection.

• Use of tools that are ISI Marks.

Types of Equipment:

• Safety Precaution.

• Study of Transformer & all Parts.

• Connection of Energy meter.

• Distribution System.

With this brief note he closed the session and wished them success in their future endeavors.
