Inauguration cum valedictory function at Clara Niketan center

On the occasion of Don Bosco’s feast Clara Niketan center, Bhouri, Bhopal organized inauguration cum valedictory function on January 31, 2020. Fr. Jack (Principal, Campion School) was the chief guest of the function. The function was graced with the presence of Sr. Sarita (State Coordinator, MP), Mr. Sadanand (Placement Coordinator, MP), Mr. Jitendra (MIS Coordinator, MP), the staff and students of Clara Niketan and their Parents.

Observing the Indian tradition, the program began by welcoming Fr. Jack and other guests with an Aarti. The inauguration function began with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and four others which followed invoking God’s blessing through a prayer dance.

Sr. Rufina (Center Coordinator) introduced the chief guest to the audience while Sr. Sarita extended a warm welcome by honoring him with a shawl & sapling. Clara Niketan staff then welcomed all the other invited dignitaries with a sapling each. Sr. Rufina, not leaving anyone welcomed the batch eight trainees batch nine trainee’s parents & other guests.

The Anchors of the day Ms. Kamini Kushwah & Ms. Kamini Tyagi (Trainees, Office Assistant & Assistant Beauty Therapist respectively) domain presented a brief report of the center’s achievements; admission and placement. Sr. Sarita gave a brief note on DonBosco Tech’s presence in India when she also mentioned that our center is making an exceptional contribution towards nation-building. In her speech, she explained the vision & mission of Don Bosco Tech Society.

On this day Clara Niketan commemorated the feast of St. John Bosco. Fr. Jack extended his consent to grace the occasion. The celebration continued with a felicitation of the outgoing trainees with completion certificates. And awarded trophies to the best trainees of each domain. The outstanding trainees of competitions; best file, best dress stitched, best makeup artist, best projects, and overall best trainee from boys & girls.

It followed an address by Fr. Jack when he congratulated the participants who received the course completion certificates & awards. He also congratulated their alma mater for holding a grand valedictory function when he mentioned the expected role of the young people in today’s world. He applauded the role of Clara Niketan center for its substantial contribution to making the youth employable in compliance with the requirements of an industry. He also appealed to the youth of today to commit themselves to eliminate evils in society. Encouraging he said, “Realize, you have immense potential. Make this country, yourself, and your parents feel proud. The opportunity is literally in your hands and not in anyone else's hand. Give your best in what you love to do.”

In this age of liberalization, privatization, and globalization, there is an ever-increasing industry requirement for professionals who have high employability skills and required competencies with an inquisitive mindset for innovations. For that, Mr. Sadanand gave a summary to the members present; the trainees & especially parents. “Placement requirements are a major boost to further higher and technical education in India. We are proud of Don Bosco Tech’s industry-relevant training to build a successful career in today’s underprivileged youth. The subjects on career guidance and placement at all our centers play a vital role in shaping the career path of our trainees. We are known for quality and the trainees who pass-out of our training centers have grabbed the attention of the employers across India,” said Mr. Sadanand.

A meaningful and heart touching musical skit on “Parivartan ki lehre” was performed by boys & “Naari Shakti” by girl-trainees giving a strong & bold message of ‘cleanliness’ for the mother earth by the use of gunny bags, and carrying vehicle’s license. Through this act on ‘Women’s Empowerment’- a strong message was sent out to say no to child marriage and sexual harassment. Encouraging women into non-traditional vocations, raising aspirations of girls and their parents, making them aware of the backlash & stand up for oneself, stand against violence on women, help women get into power, equal pay for an equal job, empowering mothers & making education equal to all. With this little act, the inaugural ceremony came to its closure in a happy and fun celebration ‘kudos’ to the staff and students who put up a fabulous show; dance and music. Overall the celebration was a grand success.

In the end, a vote of thanks was then proposed by the anchors to the dignitaries for gracing the occasion with their solemn presence and the participants who were the reason for the celebration. The program concluded with the song “Itni shakti hume dena data.”
