Guest Lecture on Basic Principles of Tailoring organized at Don Bosco Tech – Madhavaram, Tamiladu

avaram, Tamilnadu, organized a guest lecture for ISMO domain trainees on February 10, 2017. The purpose of the guest lecture is to make the students to be aware of the techniques in tailoring. Mrs. Nirmala, Tailor, Suganthi Tailoring Shop, Redhills was the resource person for the day. Totally 21 students got benefited from the session.

A formal inauguration was started with the prayer song followed by welcome address by Mrs. Dhanalakshmi, ISMO Facilitator. Mrs. Nirmala started the session with the presentation of general information on loopers cams and levers, importance of Quality while stitching the cloth in the machine. She also explained about the objective of stitching and types of machines used in the industry and the different tools that is used.

“Tailoring is a framework that identifies process artefact, tailoring processes, and their relationship to project artefacts and explores the nature of various kinds of tailoring used in the development of tailoring industry” says Mrs. Nirmala 

Mrs. Nirmala stitched and showed different types of stitching methods and explained briefly about each techniques which made the students creative and innovative. Students got the opportunity and found the session to be highly informative, motivating and useful. The resource person was an apt choice who served the session very creatively.

Thus the guest lecture came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Mary Jayanthi, CE Facilitator.
