International Yoga Day celebrated in Don Bosco Tech - Bihar

The International Yoga Day was celebrated across all the centre of Don Bosco Tech in Bihar on June 21, 2017.  The event was organized to promote healthy life and lifestyle, bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the world. It is also an opportunity to imbibe the value and discipline in one’s life. Practicing yoga keeps mentally, physically and spiritually fit. The Word “Yoga” is delivered from the Sanskrit word “Yuj” which means to join or unite. 

Trainees, trainers and staff of Don Bosco Tech - ITI Munger, Chirag - Buxar, Bindwara, Muzaffarpur and other, enthusiastically organized and participated in the day commemorating the importance and usefulness of yoga in everyday life. 

Trainees woke up early in the morning and assembled at the campus ground. Under the supervision of trainers and yoga supervisor, trainees performed different yoga postures like Vrikshasana, Uttaanaasana, Trikonaasana, Bhadrasana, Shashankaasana, Bhujangasana, Pawana Muktaasana and Pranayama as well as meditation. 

In Don Bosco Tech – Chirag, Buxar, Sr. Poonam (Trainer – GDA) exclaimed that “Yoga is not just performing certain aasanaas but it is practicing moderation in food, discipline in behavior and purity in thought”.

While in Don Bosco Tech – Bindwara centre, Mr. Suresh Kumar Yadav explained and inform the trainees about yoga by stating, “ There is a broad variety of Yoga schools, practices, and goals in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Among the most well-known types of yoga are Hatha yoga and Raja yoga.” He also talked about the various benefits on practicing yoga every day, some of which are improves flexibility, builds muscle strength, perfects one’s posture, prevents cartilage and joint breakdown, protects spine, betters one’s bone health and increases the level of blood flow in one’s body which improves the health of organs and other sensitive parts in the body. 

Similarly, trainees from other centres too celebrated the event with much fanfare, zeal, fun and fervor. They also expressed their heartfelt thanks to Don Bosco Tech Society for giving them an opportunity to celebrate the International Yoga Day.
