70th Independence Day Observed at Don Bosco Tech – Latabari, West Bengal

Like every year, Don Bosco Tech – Latabari, West Bengal celebrated Independence with great enthusiasm and fanfare.  All the trainees, trainers and centre staff of Don Bosco Tech – Latabari assembled at the front yard of the campus to celebrate the 70th Independence Day by unfurling the Indian National Flag.  Sr. Mary, Superior, Nirmala Sadan, Principal, staffs and students of Nirmala Unnati Kendra were invited to the celebration so that they can be the part of the celebration.

The Independence Day celebration started with the usual morning prayer followed by the flag hoisting by the Sr. Mary. The celebration was saw the presentation of series of group dances, patriotic solo and group songs by trainees paying deepest homage to the country and freedom fighters of the nation.  Januka Sharma, GDA Trainees delivered a speech about the importance 15th day of August celebrated across India as an Independence Day. 

Sr. Mary, imploring on the historic victory of India against Bristish rule, said that India’s achieved Independence after year longs of sacrifices, struggles and movement led by Gandhi’s and many National heroes and leaders. She talked about the importance and the meaning of the tri-color and the Ashoka Chakra embedded in the flag of India. 

Pravin Thapa, Centre Coordinator, on behalf of the staff and centre team of Don Bosco Tech - Latabari gave the vote of thanks for making the day momentous and successful with patriotic color.
