Don Bosco Tech (Ongole, Andhra Pradesh) organized a Field visit for Electrical Trainee to a Substation

The trainees in Don Bosco Tech (Ongole, Andhra Pradesh) visited a 33/11 K.V. North Sub Station on 3rd October 2016 at Ongole. 33/11 K.V. North Sub Station is a frequently chosen place for field visit by the Ongole staff as it is the best substation to help the students learn and gain the knowledge by practically visualising the tools. 26 trainees participated in the field visit accompanied by the trainer Mr. Janardhan. Mr. Satyanarayana  the in-charge of the Substation extended a heart-felt welcome to our Chandranna Cheyutha trainees.

The first one hour, trainer Janardhan showed the entire substation to the trainees. Then Mr. Satyanarayana addressed the trainees and started his message with the importance of Electricity and how it has become the basic core for every individual, family, Industries, Hospitals and Schools etc. He made trainees realise the need and significance of Electricity, to develop zeal in them to work in the relevant field. He later explained about the transformers, types of transformers and how they work. Then he moved on to the basics and most frequently encountered problems in the substations. Also the procedures to trace and sort them out are been clearly explicated. The trainees noted down each and every equation and raised their doubts which was answered by Mr.Satyanarayana. He further explained about the employment scope that is available in this field and the various organisations that can offer employment in the Electrical domain.

The trainer Mr. Janardhan thanked the Substation in charge Mr. Satyanarayana for spending his valuable time with our students and also for allowing us to visit the substation.

One of the trainees commented “it is a wonderful opportunity to learn and gain the domain relevant knowledge. Thanks to the trainers for understanding our needs and standing as a motivating force for our career building.”
