Festival of Lights 'Diwali' celebrated at Don Bosco Tech - Trombay

'The festival of lights', Diwali celebrated at Don Bosco Tech (Trombay) on Nov 7, 2018. When the entire centre decorated a festive look with Diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors and the classrooms in bright colours. The rangoli done by students added the perfect setting to the festivity. The festival was celebrated with all its grandeur. A special assembly was held on the occasion. Lighting lamps, speeches, dance performances, recitation of poems and a special song were the highlights of the assembly. A Rangoli competition was conducted at the centre among the trainees.
The event began with an invocation song by the students. Girl students from CRM Domain staged a presentation highlighting the diversities in the celebration of Diwali across the country. Trainees of Assistant Beauty Therapist / Food & Beverage steward / CRM Domestic Non-voice presented the story behind the festival through a speech. Trainees were acquainted about the significance of ‘Diwali’ and the need to break free from the conventional style of bursting crackers. They stressed the need to embrace greener and safe modes of enjoying this festival. The surprise element was a dance performance by the trainers, who enthralled the audience with their graceful moves. The special assembly concluded with the traditional ‘Aarti’, an integral part of this festival. All trainees including staff exchange gifts with each other. The event concluded with Centre Coordinators giving away the message of a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali.
