Youth Programme

On 26 of January, Don Bosco Tech-Auxilium Welfare Centre had organized a program for the youth of the colleges in and around Pune. About 150 students had attended the program.

The highlights of the program were youth guidance, motivational speeches, and games. Student participated in programs wholeheartedly. One of the students gave a wonderful speech on Republic Day. He reminded about our history once again and said after achieving the independence from the British rule on 15 August 1947, though India didn’t have a permanent constitution, all the laws were based on the modified colonial Government of India Act 1935.

But on 28 August 1947, the Drafting Committee was appointed to draft a permanent constitution, with the help of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. After many modifications to the constitution, the final draft was signed by 308 members of the assembly on 24 January 1950. Two days later, it came into effect throughout the nation.

On 26 January 1950, the new Constitution of India came into effect and India became a Republic nation. A democratic Republic nation, which was not ruled by any hereditary King or Queen, and the government was elected by the common people of the country. The constitution also encouraged all citizens to have equal social and economic rights.

When the program got finished students suggested us to organize such kind of programs quarterly as it helped them to interact with others and learned many things through this program.
