Delhi Babu is a System Manager at INFOSYS PRIVATE LIMITED in Chennai. It is something he has always wanted to do for a long time which drew him to join the Don Bosco Tech Skill Training program.

This ambitious young man hails from Palanipet a hamlet near Arakkonam. He lives with his parents and a younger sister. His father is a fisherman with just enough to support the family. However, the medications required for his mother’s ailment has added the expenditure list and so his father’s earning was not enough. The situation tickles him to get a job to contribute to his family. Being an Engineering graduate was an advantage for him to obtain a job. His uncle recommended he join Don Bosco Tech Skill training as there is an employment opportunity. He took this advice and his desire to put his engineering skills to good use led him to join the AI- Data Quality Analyst at Don Bosco Tech Vazhikaatti Centre Perambur which was supported by Accenture.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, he attended the sessions online. He was committed to all the activities and Classes. He was keen to improve his communication skills during the course and participated voluntarily in all the activities. He developed the skills to face people and to express his ideas. He also attended spoken English classes and learned the language efficiently. Now he is able to understand English and could respond to people.

After completion of his course, he got placed at INFOSYS PRIVATE LIMITED, Chennai as a System Engineer with a monthly salary of 30,000 INR. He knows the importance of higher education to scale up the corporate ladder. With the existence of COVID-19, he was given the privilege to work from home. With the guidance from Don Bosco Tech Vazhikaatti, Perambur, Delhi Babu is happily working and wishes to do better for his family. His parents are very happy and proud of him.
