“I joined the training with great enthusiasm; the training was a wonderful experience for me. I found the training to be most appropriate and much helpful to me, it was motivating”, says Shivam Khedekar Sanjay.

Shivam is a student of the Data Center Operation Management domain 1st batch. Don Bosco Tech shapes and molds diploma holders like him to be competent and ready for jobs and the course funded by STT GDC India has helped him to start his career at Nikom Infra solutions Pvt, Ltd as a Computer Operator with a monthly salary of INR 23000.

Shivam is from Goregaon East, Mumbai. His family consists of his father, mother, and two siblings. His father is a school van driver and His mother is an Anganwadi Sevika teacher. He is a Diploma in industrial electronics engineering. Pursuing a successful career as an electrical or electronics engineer gets tougher, primarily due to the competitive landscape of the job market in this field as well as the technology's fast rate of growth.

However, he did not lose hope in pursuing his career. Luck favored him when he came to know about the BASE training program. He visited Don Bosco Tech -DBSM and looked into the courses offered. With his qualification, the team was sure that he will be the best fit for the Data Center Operation Management course. The placement opportunity caught his attention as his main motive was to get a job.

After joining the skill training program at Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore, he took his studies very seriously, and through his hard work and efforts, he improved a lot in learning, approach, and behavior. The training helped him to become more competent.  His parents were happy to see the changes in him. “The training has not only imparted knowledge and skills to work but has also given me a chance to groom myself, learn etiquettes to perform better in the outside world”

During the training supported by STT GDC India, he worked hard to acquire new basic skills in the Data Centre Operation Management sector and completed the course successfully. After completing the course at DBSM he was placed at Nikom Infra solutions Pvt, Ltd as a computer operator with a salary of INR 23000.

He is happy with his job in the company. He feels proud that he can help his family financially and his parents support and encourage him to work. Shivam Sanjay Khedekar says; “I feel lucky to join DB Tech - DBSM which has shaped me and guided me. What I am today is because of the help and guidance of the trainers who have shown me the right way”. He is very much grateful to Don Bosco Tech Society and DBSM for conducting such a wonderful training program for the youth.
