It is really applauding that Vishal Rai, a year 18 old boy got promoted from the position of trainee to the position of executive in just one week. What makes us feel proud is that he was the student of DB Jyoti, Technical School Kalimpong. Vishal Rai joined the Kalimpong Don Bosco Technical School in the year 2012. He belongs to a middle class family residing in Bijonbari, Darjeeling.  His father runs a small time contractual business and his mother is a housewife.

Vishal Rai got to know about skill development program (BASE) being launchedby DB Techin partnership with Ministry of Rural Development (Govt. of India)when Sr. Chilla from FME informed him about the same. The program covers three month-long livelihood training courses in various domains for the underprivileged youth and help them get entry-level positions in the job market. Knowing this, Vishal immediately landed in the center located in Kalimpong and wanted himself to get admitted there as soon as possible. After going through the quality interest testthat he gave, the counseloradvised him to join the Office Management course.

His trainers used to complement him for his punctuality, one of the trainers opined about him that he was one of most attentive students of the class. After three months, when the course was completed, he got his first job in Tranistics Data Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata. He immediately joined it as a trainee and then quite surprisingly with in a week’s time he got promoted to the level of the executive. He expressed his sheer happiness saying, “when I was told that I have been promoted to the position of executive, I was shocked and found it hard to believe, but luckily it was true”. He is presently earning the salary of Rs. 5000 per month and working as a back office executive, where his job responsibility is to process the shipping invoice of the Freight bill process of USA.

After being successful at the career front, Vishal Rai shared his gratitude towards Don Bosco saying that, after he completed his course from DB Tech, he immediately got a good career start to prove his capabilities. Not just that, DB Tech has also helped me learn other essential qualities like discipline & ethics in life, working in a team, how to face challenges and difficulties in life and much more.

His parents are of the view that, “DB tech has changed the life of all of us, we feel lucky to get associated with the DB Tech Team”.
