“I am grateful to Don Bosco Tech and Accenture for giving me the opportunity to help my family. I was overjoyed when I got my first salary in hand; the amount was huge for me. I sent money to my parents to pay the school fees of my siblings” says Mesavino Joyce Meyase.

Mesavino is very keen on supporting her parents after her class 12. With full determination and with the help of Don Bosco Tech she is now working as an Assistant Beauty Therapist at Novotel Hotel, Kochi, Kerala with a monthly CTC salary of INR 18000.

She comes from a village called Toulazuma in Dimapur, Nagaland. She lives with her father a local catechist in Toulazouma village; her mother a homemaker and 10 siblings. Due to financial constraints, she studied up to class 12 and discontinued her studies.

Before joining the training she was a home tutor for her neighbour’s children. She wanted to continue her college degree but she felt the financial burden of her parents to provide education to her siblings. This led her to join the 3 months Assistant Beauty Therapist course in Don Bosco Tech Assisi centre. On successful completion of the training, she got a job opportunity in Naturence Spa, Hubli, Karnataka with INR 12000/- salary along with food and accommodation. When life was promising for Mesavino, things took a u-turn when she had to travel back home due to the COVID Lockdown. The desire to get back to work made her restless. Just when the Covid situation subsided, she looked for other opportunities and found her way to work at the Novotel Hotel, Kochi, Kerala with a monthly CTC salary of INR 18000.

Mesavino is happy as she is working and earning. She expresses her gratitude to all her training faculties for imparting skills and learning life values and how to stay focused in life. She had learnt how to interact with guests and be professional at her work. It doubles her joy when she received her first month’s salary and was able to share her hard earn money with her parents. She wants to help her parents to reduce the financial burden. The training and employment opportunity she got from Don Bosco Tech gave her an opportunity to chase her dreams.

Mesavino Joyce Meyase wanted to complete her graduation in future and she wishes to become an air hostess. She said, “I will work, save money and go for air hostess training so that I can travel to different places.”
