“There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world, those who are afraid to try and those who are afraid you will succeed. Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success,” says Shafeek.

Shafeek P H is one of the few students who still maintained a great relationship with Don Bosco Tech and the staff. In the year 2012, he was successfully trained and placed by Don Bosco Tech Sulthan Bathery at Global Tyres in Ernakulam with INR 7000. Global Tyres provides the largest selection and collection of tyres, alloys and related services for luxurious cars. It ranked No 1 for its remarkable services such as Wheel Alignment, Nitrogen Filling, Tyre changing, good quality products of Tyres and Alloys, Interior and Exterior Accessories. The pursuit of Global Tires has always been to provide high-quality services and products. The stores and showrooms are equipped with state of the art equipment and its work is guaranteed. It was this defining moment that would turn the tides for Shafeek and his career. He joined as a trainee and continued working there with full determination and hard work. This led the management to raise his position to a Senior Technician with a monthly salary of 26000 per month.

Life was never easy for Shafeek, he has defied odds to reach his position today. His home is in Vaithiri, Wayanad district and he lives with his parents who work in a Tea estate and 4 siblings. The financial constraint at home persuaded him to look for a job. He realized that he needs to reduce the burden of his parents by having his own income.

Don Bosco Tech played a vital role in shaping his future. It was through the 3 months training of Automobile course supported by Bosch that changed his life completely. He was given the opportunity to work with Global Tyres in Ernakulam with a 7000 salary. His ambition was so high that he worked tirelessly and dedicatedly. He continued working there and was promoted to a Senior Technician. During his service, he managed to afford a few things that he never imagined. He bought a mobile phone, a bike, a secondhand car, a piece of land and constructed a house. Feeling secure with his life, he got married recently. He is so blessed and will always be indebted to Don Bosco Tech. He even coached and nurtured many Don Bosco Tech students who got employment in Global Tyres Ernakulam.
