Here is the story of a young woman, a journey from being a trainee to becoming a dynamic trainer. Her name is Miss. Bhavana Dewangan, a 24 years old Sales Associate trainer at Don Bosco Tech Jagdalpur Centre, Chhattisgarh. Her mother is a homemaker and the family owns a small betel shop run by her father in Bhilai, which is the only source of income for the entire family. Coming from a family of 6, the revenue from her father’s small beetle nut shop was not enough to meet all the family expenses.

After completing higher secondary education, she decided to pursue engineering in the stream of electronics and telecommunication with high hope and determination but after completing studies she didn’t find a suitable job that resulted in putting her into lowered confidence and depressed mood. However, her strong desire to share the financial responsibilities of the family along with her father brought her back to life again. She took a work of teaching in a private school and evening tuitions. With all these sincere efforts she could earn very little against the increasing demands of meeting the basic necessities of the family.

During such a grim scenario a day comes to her bringing her a ray of hope as she gets to know about Don Bosco Tech Society and its training program with placement assistance. She joined the training supported by Accenture and completed her training course in Sales Associate during the lockdown. During the training period, she was noticed to be a keen and quick learner with various abilities and skills. After completing the course she applied for the vacancy for the post of Sales Associate trainer at Jagdalpur and was selected from many other applicants. She is an enthusiastic trainer now for the last eight months.

As she reflects on the training program, Bhavana realized how much she has learned not only from her trainers but also from her classmates. Her desire to become a trainer was sparked by the amazing trainers at Don Bosco Tech Raipur and in return she desires to train other young people, for them to have a better future just as hers.
