Sindhu at the age of 28 years migrated from Tamil Nadu to Bangalore along with her husband and two children. Her husband used to work as a taxi driver in Bangalore to earn a small amount of money which was not sufficient to look after the family and meet all their needs. Sindhu, who has studied only till fourth was sitting back at home thinking that it will be difficult for her to get some job. The situation became terrible when she got to know that her husband has died in a road accident. Sadly enough, now she had to look after the complete family including her Mother-In-law who is in her early 70’s. She found herself completely helpless with no options available to support the family. This is where DB Tech brought a twist in her life; during the mobilization visits, one of our DB Tech staff met her and explained her about the DB Tech programme that provides free livelihood training in several domains with assured job assistance.

Next day, she visited the DB Tech centre located in Ashalaya to get herself admitted in the Domain - ISMO. She started off with the training with utter confidence and a hope to get successful. Finally after the completion of the training all her dreams came true when she got the job in Common Threads Pvt. ltd., Bangalore as an operator on a monthly salary of Rs. 3500. Soon she received a hike in her pay scale as a reward for the kind of work she did; now she is earning Rs. 6000 per month. Her employer is of the view that she is very sincere towards her duties.

Today, Sindhu is very happy with her earning; her children’s are studying in a privately run primary school and the family is living happily. Sindhu says, “This happiness has to an extent coped up the grief of my husband’s death”. She adds “I have compromised with my life and want to move ahead now. Now my goal is to give life to my Kids. I am living for them. It is DB Tech that has helped me a lot. I shall remember DB Tech Ashalaya till my death”. We, the DB Tech Ashalaya Team feels delighted to see the self dependent and successful Sindhu.
