The training programs run by Don Bosco Tech are marked by several distinctive features that set them apart from other run-of-the-mill vocational courses.

Freedom with Five

Don Bosco Tech has developed curricula for more than 35 courses, which is followed by the trainers in the Don Bosco Tech centres across India. The curriculum is developed as per the demands of the market. Developing the up-to-date curricula that meet the demands of the market is the top most priority, so that by the end of the training program, the trainees are employable.

VIA Don Bosco

In partnership with VIA Don Bosco, Don Bosco Tech aims at imparting quality skill training to the unemployed youth especially from tribal communities in the remote villages and slum dwellers in the cities, which will make them employable thus improving their quality of their lives. VIA Don Bosco, a Belgium based NGO works for the human and social development of poor, marginalized youth and adolescents worldwide and strives towards social transformation, human empowerment and economical development of underprivileged target groups especially the youngsters. The role of VIA Don Bosco is to support Don Bosco Tech for achieving the educational activities at the technical institutions through improving quality of the training programs, developing market driven curricula, incorporating innovations into the training, accessing to jobs and linkage with the labour market for quality employment and coordinating bodies and local partners to deliver quality services.

Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM)

Don Bosco Tech has signed the agreement with Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Society in January, 2014. The Department of Vocational Education and Skill Development, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh through the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Society has launched the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) to provide an opportunity to the youth for skill training based on their aptitude and skill level for a period of three years.

State Society for Ultra Poor and Social Welfare (SSUPSW), Bihar

The agreement between SSUPSW and Don Bosco Tech was signed in August 2014 for imparting vocational training, placement and follow up of beggars under Mukhyamantri Bhikshavriti Nivaran Yojana (MBNY) Scheme in two years. The purpose of the project is to provide skill - based training to the Beggars in manufacturing and services sector and through effective network with corporates and industry to ensure job opportunities for the youth.

The Hans Foundation

Don Bosco Tech Society and The Hans foundation (THF) has signed an agreement to skill train underprivileged youth from remote location of North-East India in various courses. In addition to the training, Post Placement Tracking of trainees, for a period of six months will also be implemented. THF believes that everyone has the right for a dignified life and has been working towards the goal of reducing inequalities in India one step at a time by focusing on social interventions around three core themes: Health, Disability and Education.

Titan

Titan Company Limited is the fifth largest integrated own brand watch manufacturer in the world. Titan has partnered with Don Bosco Tech to support Employment Linked Skill Training Programme in Bangalore and Sikkim. Titan has also come forward to support in house initiative – Train New Trainers (TNT) Programme of Don Bosco Tech to train candidates to become trainers. Curriculum and methodology developed by Tata STRIVE for skill development programmes is the mandatory part of Titan funded programmes to enhance the quality of the skill training and bring in Tata values.

Tata Strive

Don Bosco Tech signed the MoU with Tata STRIVE as part of the facilitation of similar interest of contributing to the country’s skill development endeavour. Tata Strive is a group of CSR initiative of Tata companies worldwide. It is one of the several CSR programmes undertaken by Tata group on skill building and training of the youth for employability, entrepreneurship and community enterprise. Together Don Bosco Tech and Tata STRIVE, intend to impact 83,000 youth through these courses across 120 selected centres and over 2,00,000 students through ‘Youth Development Modules’ across selected 300 centres in the next 5 years.

PACS

Don Bosco Tech signed a tripartite agreement with Salesian Consultancy Services and Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) to impart skill training to 3240 vulnerable and marginalised youth from socially excluded groups in Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. The Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) programme was an initiative of the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID). Its aim was to reduce the welfare gap between socially excluded groups and the rest of the population by helping socially excluded communities to claim their rights and entitlements more effectively.

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)

Don Bosco Tech has partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) with a mission to empower around 22,65, 225 youth across semi-urban and rural India over the next ten years. NSDC is one of its kind Public Private Partnership in India that aims to promote skill development by catalysing creation of large, quality of vocational institutions. It also acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organisations that provide skill training under this alliance, Don Bosco Tech will work as a national partner of NSDC to spread quality skill development training across the country and placement of students...

State Urban Development Agency (H &UD Department, Government of Odisha)

Don Bosco Tech and State Urban Development Agency (H &UD Department, Government of Odisha) have come together to provide assistance for skill formation of the urban youth and to enhance their capacity to undertake self-employment as well as access better salaried employment through the trades like Sales & Marketing, Retail, Electrical and Welding. Under the Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) scheme and align with National Skill Development Policy, STEP-UP program is started to create high-quality skilled work force / entrepreneur relevant to emerging market by providing market-driven skills to urban youth. Don Bosco Tech will execute the program in nine districts of Odisha.

Axis Bank Foundation

Don Bosco Tech Society in partnership with Axis Bank foundation with the vision to Bridge the digital, social and economic divide in India by significantly contributing to the development of the marginalized youth by enhancing the employability and life management skills of the under privileged, deprived, needy youth of the country in 28 states of the country. The mission of BASE-ABF Skilling India is to train 50,000 youth by 2018 and provide employment opportunities in the way that they can attain a sustainable livelihood.

Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd

Don Bosco Tech (Don Bosco Tech) in partnership with Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd and ITC Welcome Group of Hotels launched skill based training programme in Hospitality and Facilities Management for youth (18-29 years) belonging to economically impoverished backgrounds. Accenture, the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, will be the funding partner for the project, whereas ITC Welcome Group will be the knowledge partner who will support soft infrastructure, training curriculum, training of Trainers, guest lectures, on-the-job training, assessment, certification and placement assistance for trainees.

Schneider Electric India Foundation (SEIF)

A MoU has been drawn up by the Don Bosco Tech and Schneider Electric India Foundation (SEIF) to impart vocational training in Electrical sector to the underprivileged youth and to assist them in self and wage employment efforts in the same domain. Schneider Electric India Foundation is the social arm of Schneider Electric India (SEI) which is a subsidiary of Schneider Electric Industries SAS recognised as global specialist in energy management. Funded by SEIF, this four months skill based training will impart technical skill in Electrical domain, basics of computer, spoken and written English, customer Interactions training, soft skills and on-the-job training to school/college dropouts (18-25 years) from lower economic strata.

ITC Limited

The partnership between ITC Limited and Don Bosco Tech is signed on 8th September, 2014. ITC as part of its CSR commitment is agreeable to support the training program whereas Don Bosco Tech is desirous of conducting the training program which would impart salesmanship skills in respect of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector with an endeavor to enroll at least 50% of the candidates from the SC/ST/OBC categories.

QUEST Alliance

Don Bosco Tech signed an agreement with QUEST Alliance in the November, 2012 for implementation of Skills to Succeed in Retail Blended Learning Program across the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The programme focuses on blended learning content in English, Life Skills, Work Readiness and Retails Customer Interaction through the LMS at each of the training centres.

Rajasthan Skills and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC)

Rajasthan Skills and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC), signed the agreement signed the agreement on behalf of the Government of Rajasthan to initiate the Special Skill Training for the Unemployed, marginalized Youths, including dropouts, etc. of the State of Rajasthan in the next 3 years by way of providing financial assistance through Grant-in-aid received from the State Government, to be released as per Expression of Interest on Employment Linked Skill Training Program (ELSTP), for implementation of Employment Linked Short Term Skill Training Program.

Sir Dorabji Tata Trust

The agreement between Don Bosco Tech and Sir Dorabji Tat Trust was signed on January 14, 2014 as grant towards skill development program in North Eastern and LWE zone of India for a period of three years. The project has been designed to provide skill- based training to youth in services, health & manufacturing sector as well as promote self-employment / entrepreneurship and through effective network with corporate and industry to ensure they are employable and assessment shall also be done to identify employment opportunities for the youth and arrange tie-ups and linkages through credit / financing schemes.

BOSCH India Foundation

Don Bosco Tech has signed a MoU with BOSCH India Foundation to train young people in Electrical and Automobile sectors. On behalf of Don Bosco Tech, BREADS has signed the agreement with Bosch India Foundation to implement the project in Karnataka and Kerala. Set up as a registered trust in 2008, the Bosch India Foundation focuses on two primary areas - Vocational Training and Health Care. Thus the focus is on using these as tools to enable lives and livelihood, to create sustainable improvement. Enabling lives through Education and Technology, the foundation aims to empower individuals to create an impact that will help communities stand on their own feet, through employability training and techno-solutions.

Siemens PLM Software

Don Bosco Tech Society (Don Bosco Tech) and Siemens PLM Software, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, announced a partnership to enable the two organizations to contribute to engineering skill development in India. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between the two that will provide Don Bosco Tech access to advanced PLM software from Siemens PLM Software. Each centre of Don Bosco Tech covered under the MOU would be provided Solid Edge software and CAM Express software at a highly subsidized cost under the GO PLMTM Program. Moreover, Siemens PLM Software would also extend additional support to Don Bosco Tech through the training of faculty, designing of course content as well as organizing guest lectures on PLM by industry experts. The plan envisages a phase-wise implementation, with a target of equipping 15 centres of Don Bosco Tech within the first year and all 25 centres within two years.
