A job carnival was organized and conducted at Don Bosco Tech, Jan Vikas Society, Palda, on April 20, 2022. Just as the event began at 10:00 am, Br. Sameer Barwa (Centre Coordinator) welcomed all recruiters and participants. As enlightenment, he gave a short introduction to Don Bosco Tech Society and its activities. There were 12 different recruiters for the fair and 180 trainees participated.

Mr Avinesh Tripathi (Trainer, Electrician Domestic Solutions) explained the procedures of placement and guided the participants. The HR/ Representatives of different companies were requested to speak about their company which they did so by explaining in brief about the company and addressing its requirements.

There were different setups alloted for the HRs/Representatives. The candidates met the HRs individually and knew the requirement and job roles of the company. The HRs guided the candidates and explained to them in detail about the job profile. After counselling, they assured the candidates that they would call the shortlisted candidates for the second round of interviews which will be held on the company’s premises.

All the trainees and others were enthusiastic to attend the placement drive. Through this drive, the trainees came to know more about companies and their job roles. They met HR and talked about the demands and requirements of the company. They enquired about the salary and other facilities. After attending the placement drive, they got motivated to go for jobs. The event was a success and was well organized by the Palda team. 

Don Bosco Tech Society has shouldered a noble initiative to bridge the widening digital, the financial and social divide between those who have access to opportunities and those who are increasingly being marginalized from the new economy jobs.
