A Moment of Pride: Don Bosco Tech Launches Its 20th Anniversary Logo in Bangalore

It was an evening filled with pride at Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore, as the Don Bosco Tech family came together to launch the DB Tech @20 logo — a symbol of two decades of transforming young lives through skills.

The event was graced by Mr. Adarsha B.S., Assistant Director of Horticulture and Mr. Sudarshan N.P., Assistant Executive Engineer, BWSSB who jointly unveiled the new logo alongside Fr. George Mathew, Executive Director of Don Bosco Tech Society. Their presence added a special warmth to the occasion, reminding everyone that partnerships — between institutions, industry, and community — are what truly make impact possible.

The ceremony began with a heartfelt welcome by Bro. Khriam, setting the tone for the celebration. The event was anchored with confidence and charm by Rinto Kurian from the Data Center Operations Management course and Gillta Harunya Theresa P. from the Cloud Practitioner course — two young trainees who perfectly embodied the spirit of Don Bosco Tech: skill, confidence, and grace in action. Fr. Britto Francis then shared the story behind the new logo — its meaning, its message, and the journey it represents.

Our guests spoke from the heart. Mr. Sudarshan reflected on the revival of Bangalore’s water sources and how sustainable development and skilling are deeply linked to the future of our cities. Mr. Adarsha, with visible enthusiasm, spoke about the beauty of aligning skills with nature, drawing parallels between horticulture and holistic living. Both encouraged the students to see their skills not just as tools for livelihood, but as pathways to care for the planet and their communities.

Fr. George Mathew, Executive Director, in his address, encouraged everyone to look ahead and shape a forward-looking vision for the organization.

All Don Bosco Tech centre’s across India participated virtually as the event was livestreamed on the official YouTube channel, allowing trainees, trainers, and partners nationwide to share in the celebration.

The evening concluded with applause, photographs, and smiling faces — students, trainers, and guests standing proudly beside the new emblem of Don Bosco Tech’s journey. It also marked the beginning of a three-month celebration leading up to Don Bosco Tech’s 20th-anniversary Annual convention, to be held in February 2026 in Bangalore.

The Story Behind the Logo

The newly unveiled DB Tech @20 logo — “20 Years of Skilling Youth” — beautifully captures Don Bosco Tech’s journey of faith, purpose, and transformation. Formally revealed at the ceremony, the design serves as both a tribute to the past and a vision for the future.

The number 20 merges gracefully with a youthful figure in motion, drawn from Don Bosco Tech’s original identity and restyled in the vibrant tricolour palette of the Indian flag. It celebrates movement, aspiration, and the unstoppable energy of India’s young workforce.

Encircling this is a gear wheel, symbolizing work, innovation, and progress — a reminder that Don Bosco Tech has always been the bridge between learning and livelihood. Within the gear, silhouettes of skilled young professionals stand tall and confident, representing inclusivity, equality, and the dignity of work. A trail of stars rises above them — each one a symbol of dreams fulfilled and lives transformed.

The tricolour theme ties it all together, affirming Don Bosco Tech’s deep connection with India’s nation-building goals through Skill India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The line, “Years of Skilling Youth,” is both a celebration of what has been achieved and a promise of what’s yet to come.
