Arborlang Dohling, aged 25, hails from a village named Mawlyndiar in East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. He did his schooling up to class 8, but had to leave school because his mother, who was the sole earner of the family, was not able to earn enough for the family. His father had already passed away when he was very young. After leaving school, he started working in a coal mine for petty wages. He also got married and became a father of two. As his family expanded, it became difficult for him to support his family. Gradually things became worse from bad for him until one day he was desperate to look for an alternative to earn more income in the family. 

He came know about Don Bosco Tech Program offer in Don Bosco Centre in Mawjrong through the mobilization where he came across leaflet distributed informing about various program by Don Bosco Tech. Without losing any chance he enrolled himself in the security domain after going through the process of counselling and Interest Inventory Test. As he had a good height and built and his hard work and determination has shown that he is one of the brilliant among his classmate. He was good in sports too. 

Finally after two months of intensive training, he came out with flying colors. He even received a medal of Best Captain. After finishing the training he secured a job as a security guard at Hotel Light Inn, Demsning, Shillong. At present his monthly income is Rs.5500 along with free accommodation and food. He is very satisfied. He keeps calling to his trainers to thank them. He says that if had not been for Don Bosco Tech, he still would have been mining coals and eating half stomach food everyday.
