This is the inspiring tale of Priya Rai, a nineteen-year-old from the small village of Khoribari in Darjeeling district. After completing her schooling in 2021, Priya opted not to pursue further education, wanting instead to contribute to her family's income. With her father as the sole breadwinner, Priya was determined not to burden her family with the expenses of higher education.

However, Priya soon discovered the challenges of finding employment with only a high school diploma. Despite facing numerous rejections due to lack of higher qualifications or work experience, Priya remained resilient in her job search throughout the following year.

It wasn't until October 2022 that Priya's luck turned when she learned about F&B service associate training offered by Don Bosco Tech Siliguri center. The affordable program offered the promise of a job upon completion, renewing Priya's hope for her future.

Upon finishing the 90-day course, Priya secured a position at Pumpkin Tales by Grand Bay, a prestigious restaurant in Chennai, starting in March 2023. With a monthly salary of Rs. 14,000 and provided food and accommodation, Priya found contentment in her newfound career.

Grateful for the opportunity provided by Don Bosco Tech, Priya now happily supports her family by sending half of her earnings home each month. Her journey serves as a testament to perseverance and the transformative power of vocational training in providing a path to a brighter future.
