Gayananda Bhoi, a 28-year-old entrepreneur from the rural village of M. Srigida in Bargarh district, Odisha. Born into a humble family of five, Gayananda's parents worked hard to make ends meet, with his father toiling as a farmer and his mother tending to the household. In a community where daily wage labor was the norm, Gayananda harbored a desire to break free from the conventional employment cycle and carve his path as a self-employed individual. 

Gayananda's life took a significant turn when he encountered Don Bosco Tech and its skill development initiatives. Hearing about their program through a mobilization activity in his village, he wasted no time and promptly enrolled in the Mushroom Grower job role under the Accenture - 12 batch. Over the course of 45 days, Gayananda immersed himself in learning the intricacies of mushroom cultivation, from spawn production to marketing strategies. 

Armed with newfound knowledge and determination, Gayananda ventured into paddy mushroom cultivation in his village. Starting with just three beds, his efforts bore fruit, and within three months, he reaped returns from 20 beds, amounting to Rs. 5500/-. This initial success not only brought joy to Gayananda but also provided a financial lifeline for his family. 

Reflecting on his journey, Gayananda expresses gratitude for the comprehensive training provided by Don Bosco Tech. From classroom sessions to field visits, he credits the program for instilling confidence and equipping him with practical skills essential for entrepreneurship. His dream now extends beyond mere self-sustainability; he aspires to expand his mushroom production, pursue further education, and uplift his family's standard of living.
