Ms. Bomei is a 21 year old girl who lives in Chingkhao village, Mon District, Nagaland. She is the youngest among her six siblings. She lost his father who was suffering from bad health when she was studying in class 6. The worst part is she could not even attend the funeral ceremony as the distance from her place to the place of funeral was really far.

Since there was no one to look after the family, she left her studies to support the family. She received another bad new while she was in Dimapur to help her sister in the household activities; she got the information that their mother has passed away. The situation turned out to be even worse when after few days they got to know that their house has got burned down. All of their property has turned into ashes. Now there was no house and no parents.

Bomei sister used to do weaving and knitting to earn the livelihood for the complete family, but Bomei was interested in tailoring. One day when she was in hospital to visit a sick relative she heard about a free training Program being offered by DB Tech. On enquiring, she got to know that DB Tech is running a BASE program in partnership with MoRD under which 3 month training is provided to the poor and needy youth, not just that the program also offers placement in the job – market after the completion of training.

After getting detailed information, she joined the training along with two other friends. As Bomei was silent by nature, initially she found the training difficult because of English communication and 8 hours of continuous training in a Day. Though it was difficult for the trainers to teach her, but very patiently they made her learn the Basic English, and also how to hold scissors, needle and machines as the part of the training. At the time of discouragement, the trainers used to push her giving her lots of motivation and encouragement.

After three months of training, she got transformed in to confident women; she interacts with the people around really well. She is now an independent woman who can take the decision of her life on her own.  After the training, she got placed in Cotton Blossom Pvt. Ltd., Tirupur and earning the basic salary of Rs. 4500/- Per month. She is very much satisfied with her job and strongly looks forward for promotion and even a better job. For what she is today she thanks DB Tech for showing her the right way and providing her the opportunity to prove herself, and also for enabling her to support the family.
