Loveleen Kumar, 20 years old male lives in village Darsopur, Teh R.S.Pura, Distt. Jammu. Before joining the center on 30th Jan, 2014, he was doing nothing and was in home.He came to know about BASE during mobilization held nearby his house. He joined the BASE to acquire a job. Due to family reasons he was not able to complete his studies and was looking for a good option so that he can do something in his life. He wanted to become self independent in his life which is why he joined BASE. His father is a laborer and it was very difficult to manage all the household expenses which were one of the reasons to join Don Bosco Tech.
 

Loveleen contacted the administration of Don Bosco Tech at RS Pura and collected the vital information about the program and registered for admission and training. His first impression about the program was very good and thought that MoRD has provided the opportunity to set his life once again on track. He spends more and more time in the training while managing the household tasks to help his parents. As he is interested in serving and interacting with different peoples, he chooses Hospitality domain. On his first day, he felt like he was entering a new world full of knowledge and was wowed by the different activities and knowledge provided by trainers about different domains.
 

During induction period, he learned about the MoRD, Don Bosco Tech, Himayat, various activities like life skills, Team building, money management, time management, logo designing, goal setting, emotion handling and communication skills and much more. In the training days, he gained knowledge about hotels services, various departments and hotel industry. He was excited when he came to know that different companies were coming to the center for the interview and offer the trainee exciting jobs. The most memorable moment which he will not ever forget in his entire life was, when he was selected as a service assistant in Barbeque Nation with a monthly package of Rs. 5000/- per month. Today with the job, he is able to help his family and becomes an independent individual. Happily he made paid his gratitude stating, “I felt very happy that Don Bosco Tech has completely changed my life and will be thankful forever for the wonderful training and motivation in my life.”
